Re-Enabling Comments

When I first started this blog, I knew I didn’t want to spend the kind of time I sometimes have to spend on my other blogs just weeding out spam comments. Sure, I have a variety of automated tools to halt spam, but invariably my high-volume sites attract human spammers as well as automated spambots, and they’re harder to catch with automated tools. So, I switched off the comment form altogether.

Now, I’ve decided to switch it back on for awhile just in case anyone has any thoughts they’d like to share. I know this isn’t a high-volume site, and I don’t really plan any major projects to market it more widely (that isn’t the point of the site!), so hopefully I’ll be safe if I leave comments on for awhile to see what happens…
